  • Raw potatoes – 5 pcs.

  • Sour cream 10% - 3 tbsp. l.

Cooking honey mushrooms fried with potatoes

Sort the mushrooms from leaves and twigs, wash them thoroughly in several waters and cook. The cooking process in this case is mandatory, since it allows you to neutralize the harmful substances found in the mushroom caps.

Cut the finished mushrooms into small pieces. Place in hot oil and fry thoroughly.

Peel the onion, wash and cut as desired.

To prepare potatoes with honey mushrooms, fried in a frying pan, take potatoes. Wash it, peel it and cut it into strips. It is necessary that the potato wedges are approximately the same size. If they are not the same, they will cook in different amounts of time. It is important to observe this nuance so as not to end up with a dish in which some of the potatoes are raw, or often the potatoes are overcooked. Pat the potatoes with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.





2. Place the pan on the stove. Reheat well. If you fry potatoes in a poorly heated frying pan, the potatoes will certainly stick to the frying pan and burn. Pour vegetable oil into the frying pan. Warm it up slightly and add the chopped potatoes to the pan.





3. Fry potatoes over medium heat. The fire should not be high so that the potatoes do not burn. I don't cover the pan with a lid. I turn the potatoes over with a spatula, carefully so as not to damage them. You can only turn the potatoes if a golden brown crust has already formed on one side. Avoid burning. While the potatoes are frying, finely chop the fresh herbs and onion into half rings.





4. For cooking, I take pickled mushrooms. During the mushroom season, you can take fresh ones. It is better to pre-process fresh mushrooms, boil them and fry them in a frying pan separately. In the case of pickled mushrooms, drain the brine and rinse the mushrooms under running water. This will remove the mucus.







5. Salt and pepper the fried potatoes and add seasoning. I have a seasoning with pieces of dried white mushroom. Stir. Add chopped onions and stir again. The onion will soften and brown slightly along with the potatoes.





6. When the potatoes are ready, add the pickled mushrooms to the pan.





7. At the very end, add chopped greens to the potatoes. Stir. The greens can be placed not in the frying pan, but directly into each portion of potatoes separately. This way, our greens will be fresher and will not lose their fluffiness from the heat of the frying pan. Divide the potatoes among plates. Serve to the table.

To prepare a delicious dish of potatoes and mushrooms, we will need:

  • 400 g frozen or fresh honey mushrooms;
  • 1 medium-sized onion;
  • potatoes (it’s better to take young ones, it’s tastier) 6-8 pieces;
  • salt and black pepper to taste;
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of vegetable oil.

We begin the process by preparing the onions and potatoes. The onions need to be peeled, moistened with cold water (to prevent your eyes from watering) and cut into thin half rings. Wash the potatoes, peel them, cut them into strips and rinse them again. Place the chopped potatoes on a clean kitchen towel and pat dry to remove excess moisture. Pour oil into a frying pan and fry the onion until soft, about 5 minutes.

If you use fresh mushrooms, they need to be washed well and boiled in boiling water, and then drained in a colander to drain. If you take frozen mushrooms, then you don’t need to do anything with them first.


Add the mushrooms to the fried onions and, stirring, fry over medium heat until the excess moisture has evaporated. After about 15 minutes, add the towel-dried potatoes into the pan and mix well. Fry the potatoes with honey mushrooms and onions until tender, about 20 minutes. Don't forget to salt the dish and add black pepper if you like. That's all the wisdom. Delicious fried honey mushrooms with potatoes and the onions are ready. As you can see, cooking according to culinary recipes is not as difficult as it seems at first glance.
