Today you can’t go anywhere without an anti-theft system - in a difficult crime situation in every city in our country, it is a priority task for any motorist. But due to the fact that the modern market offers consumers a wide range of anti-theft installations, it can sometimes be very difficult to make a choice. What features does the Excellent alarm have and how to connect it yourself - read about it below.

Characteristics of the Excellent car alarm

The Excelent car alarm is not a particularly popular anti-theft system when compared with flagship alarm systems. However, this anti-theft unit is also worth considering because it offers consumers a wide variety of different features. First, let's look at the main features of the system.

Equipment and features

The signaling kit, regardless of the model, includes the following elements:

  • siren;
  • blocking relay;
  • control module;
  • shock sensor, may also include a volume and tilt sensor;
  • two remote controls - one with feedback, one without;
  • antenna;
  • led indicator;
  • installation wires for connection.

As for the main features (examined using the Revolution 3 model as an example):

  1. The car alarm unit includes shock and tilt controllers and has 8 outputs, two of which can have different polarities. When installed, a specific operating algorithm can be assigned to each output.
  2. In the case of the Revolution 3 model, it is possible to connect the car alarm with one cable to the standard car buttons, which are located on the steering wheel. That is, this feature allows you to implement another line of disabling vehicle security in the event that the keys are stolen.
  3. The main difference between the control module of this model is its reduced power consumption. When the vehicle is armed, the system will consume approximately 8 mA. In addition, the signaling itself is completely silent, since this model does not have built-in relays.
  4. The fundamental difference between this model and others is that, if necessary, the alarm software can be updated without removing it; a data bus is used for this. However, it is worth considering that the unit itself does not function on its own, but controls a large complex via a built-in data bus. This bus connects a volume controller, GSM devices, as well as various modules (CAN, launch, Slave) and output expanders. The entire system is controlled using remote controls, and each key fob has reliable enhanced protection (the author of the video is Sergey Yashchenko).

Functionality

Briefly about the functions that the Excellent alarm has:

  • instant activation of the siren in case of illegal entry into the car;
  • blocking the power unit, for this two independent circuits are used;
  • warning function - if someone touches the car or tries to open the door when the car is armed, the siren will emit a short beep;
  • daytime security option - in this case the shock sensor does not work;
  • the ability to arm the car with the engine running;
  • options for protection against selection and interception of codes;
  • panic option - in this case, the siren is turned on forcibly;
  • automatic diagnostics, as well as disconnection of failed sensors without loss of protective functions;
  • thanks to the diode element, a search for a failed controller or an overloaded output can be carried out;
  • indication on the control panel of a hacking attempt with an indication on the diagram of the triggered controller;
  • thanks to the use of an additional channel, the car owner has the opportunity to forcefully activate the siren or remotely open the tailgate;
  • warning the user about the low battery in the remote control;
  • the presence of non-volatile memory - thanks to this, all codes and additionally installed options are stored in it for ten years;
  • the option of protection against repeated activations is relevant in case of incorrect adjustment of the controllers or an attempt to provoke a criminal;
  • It is also worth noting the non-volatile memory of the signaling state - if a power surge occurs in the on-board network or you disconnect the battery, all options will be saved upon further connection;
  • if necessary, the car owner will be able to reprogram options, as well as installation information using a computer;
  • auto service option - with its help the user can disable all functions that block the motor (video author - Sergey Yashchenko).

Operation and Installation Guide

Installation and operating instructions must be included with any alarm; these must be followed when installing the system.

Briefly about how to install an alarm:

  1. First, place the control unit in the cabin; you need to choose a place so that in the event of a break-in, an attacker cannot quickly reach the place where the module is installed. Please note that the module should not be exposed to high temperatures and especially moisture.
  2. Open the hood and install the sirens with the horn facing down. Place it away from the cylinder block, as high temperatures will simply damage it.
  3. Next, install all the necessary sensors. The impact controller should be installed somewhere in the middle of the body, so it can record impacts from all sides on the car. Other sensors are installed in accordance with the operating instructions.
  4. An antenna should be installed on the windshield - it should be clearly visible, since it is used to transmit and receive signals. Installation of the antenna is not allowed near metal parts of the body, as this will lead to poor signal reception.
  5. A light indicator is installed in the area of the windshield. All components are connected, the circuit must be protected with a fuse.

Security systems for cars are distinguished by an unusually wide range. Various functions, their combination and additional capabilities - the car owner will always be able to choose the system that best suits his requirements. The Excellent alarm takes a worthy place among all others. Many possibilities, a revolutionary setup system without using a key fob and the ability to change various parameters are what distinguishes it from other representatives of security systems.

Features of Excellent alarms

In general, products under the Excellent brand belong to the budget class, however, some of its capabilities belong to a higher level. In particular, the ability to communicate both via a radio channel via a key fob and via a GSM receiver greatly increases its mobility and the ability to obtain operational data about the vehicle’s condition. These systems also have a large number of outputs and inputs for additional sensors. Another feature inherent in Fighters is the very low current consumption in security mode - no more than 8 mA, thanks to which the car can be protected for a long time without the danger of draining the battery. And the absence of built-in relays in the main unit makes this alarm completely silent during operation.

This system can operate in slave mode, and only 1 cable is required for connection.

The most important difference is that it has an open architecture, that is, it is not a complete device (like a desktop computer) and allows for upgrades by adding new modules.

Excellent system components

The composition of the system is quite typical for alarms of this kind. The Excellent Evolution 2 model includes:

  • Compact main unit
  • 2 control panels
  • Standard antenna
  • Siren
  • Led indicator
  • Three connectable sensors: motion, shock and microwave volume sensor
  • Set of wires for connection
  • Operating instructions and installation and configuration instructions.

Functionality

The alarm provides for the connection of up to two additional sensors - tilt and touch, which provide additional protection.

The Evolution 3 model provides modular expansion of functions, such as a GSM unit, additional sensors and outputs, locks and window control systems. The GPS module allows you to learn about changes in the vehicle’s condition via a mobile phone.

Naturally, this car alarm system has an auto-start system from the key fob. Signals are exchanged using constantly updated code, which increases resistance to hacking. The system has non-volatile memory, so in the event of a power surge or loss, all settings are saved.

Features of the installation process

Installing an excellent alarm system is quite standard and does not involve any difficulties. All features can be found in the included manual. Let's look at the main points.

  1. The main alarm unit and sensors must be installed inside the car
  2. The antenna is installed as high as possible to ensure the best reception and transmission of the signal to the key fob.
  3. When installing, it is advisable to avoid areas exposed to moisture.

However, all these features are valid for other security systems.

After taking into account all the requirements, you can begin installing the system. The connection diagram is shown in the figure.

As you can see, using the included wiring kit, the main unit is connected to the alarm connection points in the existing on-board electrical network of the vehicle. The main unit is usually located under the panel or behind the instrument panel, the valet button is in any secluded but easily accessible place, the sensors are installed in the cabin closer to its center, and the antenna unit is placed in the upper corner of the windshield. The LED indicator is placed on the windshield pillar or on the panel on top.

After installing the Fighter Excellent alarm system, it should be configured. Its main steps are also indicated in the instruction manual. This can be done either using the control key fob, or, if a particular model is equipped with a CAN bus connection module, using a computer. Diagnosing faults is also simplified, especially if the alarm goes off on its own.

Excellent car alarms can be purchased either on specialized websites or in stores selling automotive electronics. The final price of the security system will depend on the number of add-on modules to the main unit. In any case, managing and operating the Excelent system will be convenient and uncomplicated thanks to the ability to communicate with it through one phone and almost instantly receive feedback and comprehensive information about the car.

Chinese-made Fighter brand electronic security systems are not common products. Knowledge of the Fighter alarm instructions will help the owner cope with possible problems in the operation of the security system.

  • It is possible to use a standard horn as a siren.

The listed functions may not be available in specific models of Fighter security systems.

High protection efficiency

Fighter alarms use KeeLoq® standard dynamic code for signal encoding and protection against interception. Dynamic encryption involves applying a unique code each time you press control keys on the remote control. The cipher is changed according to a certain pattern, which is known only to the receiver and transmitter.

The intercepted code cannot be reused because the next command will generate the next one. Dynamic encryption technology has made it possible to reduce the cost of security systems while maintaining an acceptable level of security.

Dynamic code does not provide a complete guarantee against hacking of the security system.

Comfortable operation

To control alarms, key fobs with one-way and two-way communication are used. Remote controls with two-way communication and display are used in the Revolution system. Depending on the model, the control panels have two, three or four function buttons.

Example of key fobs

The minimum set of functions controlled by the key fob includes:

  • remote control of locks;
  • automatic closing of door locks when arming;
  • automatic reconnection of the security mode;
  • Silent activation and disarming of security is possible;
  • turbo timer.

Affordable installation and connection

The popularity of Fighter alarms is due to the ease of installation available to the average owner. For connection, several wiring harnesses are used, which are connected to the on-board network or to devices included in the delivery kit. Setting up a security system does not require deep knowledge of electronics and vehicle design.

The installation instructions supplied with the kit consist of sections:

  • recommendations for the location and installation of components;
  • wiring diagram with tips and common wiring connections.

Varieties and models

At various times the following systems were sold on the Russian market:

  • Fighter F-14 (was popular in 2000-04);
  • Fighter F-15;
  • Fighter F-16 and 16B;
  • Fighter F-15 or Stealth;
  • Fighter Jet;
  • Fighter Revolution (the first model with autostart, appeared around 2005).

Today, Fighter alarms are practically not found on the Russian security systems market.

Pros and cons of devices

Positive aspects of the systems:

  • low cost;
  • use of dynamic protection;
  • universal settings.

Negative characteristics:

  • due to price reductions, keychains have a weak design;
  • no displays;
  • most models do not have an automatic engine start system;
  • unclear programming documentation.

The owner of a car with the Fighter security system installed should remember that the alarm system belongs to the budget segment and one should not expect increased resistance to burglary from it.

Installation Guide

Before installing the alarm system, you must unpack the kit, check the contents and the absence of external defects. Then you should study the wiring diagram, which will allow you to think through the installation process.

Direct installation consists of the following steps:

  1. The processing unit is located hidden inside the car. The preferred mounting location is the dashboard. The unit is mounted at a distance from metal surfaces and standard electronic devices. For fixing, self-tapping screws are used (there are standard fastening points on the body) or plastic ties. Installing the product under the hood is strictly prohibited.
  2. Place the antenna wire under the panel. The manufacturer prohibits stripping the cable of insulation and twisting it into coils, as this leads to a decrease in the operating range of the control panels. The antenna installation line is placed as far as possible from metal body parts that can shield the signal.
  3. Install the indicator diode in a convenient place. The owner must see the flashing, both while driving and outside the car. The diode can be mounted in a specially drilled hole. Before drilling, you need to make sure that there are no wiring or control units in this area.
  4. Place a service button. The key is located hidden, but the user must have unhindered access to the installation site. When operating the button, the owner should see the control diode.
  5. If the delivery package includes a separate button for turning on the Anti-Theft function, it should be placed in the driver’s seat area.
  6. Install a sensor in the cabin. The manufacturer recommends placing the device on the engine panel or on the central wiring harness. The owner or installer must have access to the sensor mounting location, since it contains sensitivity adjustment potentiometers.
  7. Place the siren in the engine compartment in a place protected from moisture and heat. It is recommended to turn the socket downwards to prevent condensation from accumulating. The siren is powered from the processor unit or directly from the car battery.
  8. Mount limit switches under the hood or trunk lids. It is possible to use standard indicators located in car locks. The location where the switches are installed should not be flooded with water.

Connection diagram

The wiring is connected after completion of installation work. The vehicle's standard electrical system must first be de-energized.

It is recommended to use a multimeter or voltmeter when checking wiring polarity when connecting the Fighter. Using a test lamp may damage electronic components.

General wiring installation sequence:

  1. The first to be connected is the central connector, which is equipped with a block with 8, 10, 12 or 16 pins (depending on the model). Negative power is supplied from the car body. The positive pole is connected to the wiring going to the ignition switch. The standard cable must have a cross-section no smaller than the conductor in the alarm harness. The connection point is isolated.
  2. Install the 6-pin central locking control harness. The connection depends on the design of the door lock system.
  3. Connect the two two-pin connectors of the diode and the service button.
  4. Reinstall the sensor block (has four pins). If there is an additional volume sensor, it is connected to a separate three-pin connector.

Connection diagram

User manual

Features of operation are considered using the example of Excellent Plus, Jerry and 114 signaling devices. When using other systems, other control algorithms are possible, which are set out in the instructions.

Purpose of indicators and buttons on the key fob

For the Revolution system with autostart, a key fob with a display is used, on which the icons are located:

  • 1 — security is on;
  • 2 — security is turned off;
  • 3 — quiet operating mode;
  • 4 — informing the owner with a vibration signal;
  • 5 — activation of the first stage of sensitivity of the shock sensor;

Location of buttons on the Fighter Jerry system key fob

The Jerry alarm is activated in emergency mode using the service button:

  1. Press and hold the setting key for three seconds. The hold is carried out until the sound signal is given. After this, the diode will go into rapid flashing mode, indicating the possibility and need to close the doors. If all doors are locked, then you need to open and close at least one of them.
  2. After the last limit switch has been closed, the system will delay three seconds and lock the locks.

If the automatic arming service is enabled, it is activated half a minute after the ignition is turned off and the driver’s door opens and closes the cycle. Until the time period expires, the diode is in warning flashing mode at a frequency of once every three seconds. If you open a door or trunk, the time countdown is interrupted while the limit switch in the lock opens. After the circuit is restored, the countdown continues. It is possible to cancel automatic activation by activating the ignition circuit.

If, when arming the system, the system detects an open limit switch, the faulty sensor is excluded from the circuit. In this case, the owner receives a message in the form of a three-time light and sound indication.

Disabling security

To turn it off, briefly press the button with the open lock icon. The door locks are unlocked and the light and sound alarm is triggered twice. The indicator diode begins to flash after three seconds, indicating the active resetting mode. If at least one limit switch is open, the auto-arming will be disabled. If the opening does not occur, after 30 seconds the system will lock the locks and go back into security mode.

If the radio transmitting control devices are lost or damaged, it is possible to disable the security by entering a two-digit code. The value can be in the range of 11-99; the factory default is 24 or 11 (depending on the model).

Emergency shutdown procedure:

  1. Unlock the door. Once the limit switch opens, an alarm will sound.
  2. Sit behind the wheel and, without closing the door, turn the ignition circuit on/off three times. After the third time the ignition should remain working.
  3. Wait for the indicator to turn on in continuous mode. The alarms must stop. After this, you can turn off the ignition; the diode will go into slow blinking mode.
  4. Start counting the flashes. After the number of flashes corresponding to the first digit of the secret code has passed, the ignition should be turned on. The diode will switch to continuous operation.
  5. Turn off the ignition again and count the flashes corresponding to the second number.
  6. Turn the ignition on and off. The system is deactivated.

The code entry mode is interrupted:

  • entering the correct value;
  • closing the door or triggering the open door limit switch;
  • after 10 seconds of the system being in standby mode (after turning off the ignition, step 3).

The owner of a car with the Fighter Excellent system should remember that the key fob control does not function in password entry mode.

Code change

The factory value on the Fighter Excellent can be changed by the owner according to the following algorithm:

  1. Open the door, leave it unlocked.
  2. Turn the ignition on and off seven times. Leave the key in the "on" position. Wait for the emergency lights to flash (should occur within two seconds after the last ignition switch).
  3. The owner will have three seconds to press the button marked “star” on the remote control. The activation of programming is indicated by a triple light signal.
  4. Enter the value of the first digit by pressing the arming button. This must be done no later than three seconds after the emergency lights turn off.
  5. Program the second number by pressing the disarm button. Each press is accompanied by the operation of an external light indication.
  6. Turn off the ignition and close the door switch. Pause until the password recording confirmation is activated (triple activation of the direction indicators).

On Fighter Jerry the code is entered differently:

  1. When security is disabled, turn the ignition key according to the on-off-on algorithm.
  2. The owner has ten seconds to begin entering the first code value. Input is made by pressing the settings button.
  3. Enter the second number in the same way as step 2.
  4. Repeat step 3. When entering the correct value, a short beep will sound.
  5. After this, within five seconds you need to turn off the ignition and begin the procedure for entering a new code.
  6. Enter programming by pressing the service button five times. After this, the system should sound a short and a long beep.
  7. After the beeps, press the arm button on the key fob for five seconds. An additional beep will sound to confirm that the system is ready to enter a number.
  8. Enter the first value by pressing the service button. You have 10 seconds to enter, the number is in the range 1-9. It is not recommended to use the number 3. The input will be confirmed by sound signals, the number of which corresponds to the programmed number.
  9. Press the disarm button to proceed to programming the second number.
  10. Wait for the double sound signal and enter the value by analogy with step 9.
  11. Turn off the ignition to complete the procedure. A short and a long beep will sound to confirm that programming has been completed correctly. If there is no signal, you must turn the security system on and off by pressing the appropriate buttons, and then repeat the programming procedure.

Sensor management

The sensors are equipped with two impact force sensitivity zones, which can be turned off using the key fob. Activation is performed by pressing the button marked with an asterisk. Pressing is made no later than three seconds after the security is activated.

Control algorithm:

  • single press - deactivates the first zone;
  • double - completely disable the sensor;
  • triple - return to normal sensor operation mode.

Pressing the button is accompanied by a light indication, allowing the owner to monitor the operating status of the sensor.

System operation in alarm mode

The alarm is triggered when:

  • detection of opening of limit switches;
  • signal from the second sensor zone;
  • connecting ignition circuits;
  • loss of voltage in the on-board network.

The alarm mode is activated for 30 seconds, during which time the siren sounds and the external light alarm flashes. If a permanently open limit switch is detected or the ignition is on, the alarm cycles are repeated no more than three times. Thus, the total alarm time cannot be more than 90 seconds. Deactivation is performed by pressing the mute button or turning off the siren sound. The car remains protected.

If the complex detects the receipt of data from the warning zone of the sensors, then an alarm signal is generated, which is a five-time light and sound indication.

Additional services

Additional services include anti-robbery, panic modes, as well as other features. To activate panic, you need to press and hold the security button for two seconds with the ignition inactive. Alarm signals sound for 30 seconds and can be interrupted early by using the system shutdown or siren buttons. The anti-robbery function is activated by pressing the “star” button for three seconds. The activation condition is a working ignition system.

Anti-robbery algorithm:

  • a waiting period (40 seconds), during which no changes in the alarm operation occur;
  • giving short warning signals with a beep (lasts 20 seconds);
  • full alarm and engine blocking (lasts 4 minutes);
  • disabling the sound alarm and maintaining the lock.

When anti-theft is enabled on the Excellent system, control of key fobs is impossible. Deactivation of the full alarm and blocking mode is only permissible by entering an emergency code.

When programming the complex, it is possible to enable the automatic locking function, which locks the locks five seconds after ignition activation. Unlocking is performed automatically, immediately after turning off the ignition.

It is possible to configure a passive engine starting unit, which is activated within 30 seconds after the ignition is turned off and the limit switch in the driver's door opens and closes the cycle. If you try to turn on the ignition at this moment, the system will go into alarm mode. You can disable the unit by pressing the security deactivation button.

Automatic start (for some models)

Before using autostart on the Revolution complex, it is necessary to install a program neutral, which ensures safe engine operation without driver control.

Installation procedure:

  1. Raise the handbrake lever with the power unit running.
  2. Press the third button on the remote control, after which two signals will be sent by light and sound devices.
  3. Turn the key in the ignition and remove it. The engine should not stall.
  4. After the owner gets out of the car and closes the door, the engine will stop. Stopping the engine is a signal that the security system is ready to autostart.

Autostart is only possible in remote mode:

  1. Press the remote start button on the key fob and hold it for three seconds. The system will signal with a single sound pulse and begin the start-up procedure.
  2. After turning on the ignition, the crankshaft is turned by the starter. A total of four scroll attempts are allowed. If autostart is installed on a diesel engine, there is a pause of seven seconds between turning on the ignition and cranking the starter, which is necessary to warm up the glow plugs, which facilitate starting at low temperatures.
  3. After a successful start, the icon of a running motor will be activated on the screen, which will run for 7 or 15 minutes (depending on the preliminary settings). If an early stop is necessary, it is performed by pressing the start button again.

When the startup procedure begins, the Revolution system polls the parking brake limit switch. If the lever is not raised, the autostart will not turn on.

The Fighter 114 complex allows launching periodically or daily at the appointed time. Periodic starting is possible every 1, 2 or 3 hours. Daily - configured by setting an alarm on the key fob.

Setting up remote controls

Due to the use of dynamic code, control panels may become out of sync with the processor unit. This often occurs as a result of repeatedly pressing buttons out of range. To restore synchronization, you need to approach the car and press any button twice within one second. In most cases, the connection between the key fob and the system is restored.

Fighter Excellent Plus

Programming the key fob code on the Fighter Excellent Plus system is performed as follows:

  1. Open the door, get behind the wheel. You should not close the door behind you.
  2. Turn the ignition key seven times from the off position to the on position. After the seventh switch, the ignition should remain active. If the procedure is carried out correctly, the system will give a light signal from the emergency lights (it turns on three seconds after the end of manipulations with the lock).
  3. Press the on or off buttons on the programmable remote control. If recording is successful, a triple flash will sound as a light signal.
  4. Carry out a similar procedure with the remaining remote controls. A total of three key fobs can be recorded.
  5. To exit the recording mode, just turn off the ignition and slam the driver's door.

If the owner has lost the Fighter Excellent Plus alarm key fob, it can be removed from memory by reprogramming the remaining control panel.

The author of the video, Andrei Borisov, demonstrates the Fighter alarm firmware.

Fighter Jerry

On the Fighter Jerry complex, programming is carried out by entering a code and without it. The procedure is determined by the system settings. Unlike the Excellent alarm, no more than five seconds are given for each step. If the time interval is exceeded, the programming mode is automatically switched off.

Memorizing without entering a code:

  1. Turn on the ignition circuit.
  2. Press the service button three times. After the third press, the siren should sound briefly, confirming that the processor unit is ready to record codes.
  3. Press and hold the security button on the programmable key fob. The hold is carried out until a long sound signal is given and the diode switches to flashing mode with long pauses.
  4. Similarly, store the code of the second and other remote controls.
  5. To complete programming, turn off the ignition or wait eight seconds. The end of the procedure is confirmed by a short and long beep of the siren and the diode blinking mode is turned off.

If you need to enter a code, the procedure looks different:

  1. Turn on, then turn off and turn on the ignition again.
  2. By pressing the service button, enter the value of the first number of the code into the processor unit.
  3. Turn off and turn on the ignition.
  4. Repeat step 2 for the second digit.
  5. Repeat step 3. Wait for the sound confirmation that the password was entered correctly.
  6. Press the service key three times. After the third press, a long beep should sound.
  7. Enter the first remote control into memory using a procedure similar to programming without a password.
  8. Exiting programming also does not differ from the procedure described above.

The Fighter Jerry system has a memory capacity for four key fobs. The beginning of programming means the automatic deletion of all previously recorded remote controls.

Revolution

On early models, for example, Revolution, a different recording algorithm is used:

  1. With the ignition off, press the service button and hold it for at least five seconds until the siren sounds four short beeps.
  2. Press any key on the first programmable remote control. Entering the code into memory will be confirmed by a single beep.
  3. Enter the remaining key fobs into memory in the same way. The recording is confirmed by the corresponding number of signals (from two to four).
  4. After recording the fourth key fob, pause for six seconds, which is necessary to exit the code recording procedure.

How to attach a key fob to an alarm system is described in a video from Mikhail Autoinstructor.

One-way access problems: our solution

Let us briefly recall what we are talking about (we have already wrote about it). Over the past year, electronic devices have appeared (let's call them smart code grabbers) that allow you to steal a car without resorting to banal hacking, even if the security system uses such an advanced coding algorithm as Keeloq. The principle of their “work” is something like this:
You park your car, say, at a store and are going to arm it. Does not work. You look at the key fob in bewilderment, cursing the “broken” security system, press other buttons on the key fob and - finally, you’re lucky! - the car suddenly becomes armed. When you go shopping, you are sure that your car is reliably protected.
In fact, the security system was not faulty at all. The culprit is an intelligent code grabber (from English grab - intercept), which recorded the radio signal of your key fob into its memory while you pressed the buttons. At the same time, radio interference was installed, preventing the security system from receiving a signal from the key fob. Then the hijacker removed the interference and sent one of the first recorded signals on the air, after which the system was armed. He still has a few signals left in his “reserve” from your key fob, which will allow him to disarm your car.

Of course, this is only one of the possible scenarios. Security systems in which arming and disarming occur by pressing the same key fob button are especially susceptible to such “attacks.” Therefore, more than a year ago, we introduced the “double withdrawal” function in our systems (the arming and unarming commands are different).

But, unfortunately, this does not solve the problem completely. If the system does not respond to commands from the key fob, then the person, not understanding what is happening, begins to press all the buttons in a row: well, does it at least react to something? This is a completely natural reaction, but the thief gets the opportunity to record the signals of various buttons, including the one that he later uses to disarm the car - it’s just a matter of perfection of the code grabber. We could not leave the users of our systems alone with this problem, and we offer a solution to it within the framework of one-way access (when the key fob only emits a signal and does not receive a “response” from the system).

Excellent evolution 2

Evolution2(evolution) is the name of the new model range of Excellent systems, which includes Comfort, Continent, Country and Capital models with the index “2”. The name quite accurately reflects the essence of the changes that have occurred to the systems. On the one hand, the systems inherited the best features of their predecessors - their reliability and “user friendliness”. On the other hand, they have evolved, raising the bar of the “standard of protection” to a new level, thanks to the new platform on which their software is built.

New level of radio channel protection

Keychain. The Evolution2 series systems use new microprocessor key fobs. Most alarm key fobs use standard HCS microcircuits from MicroChip to encrypt the signal. We use a microprocessor to allow our systems to withstand new smart code grabbers without abandoning Keeloq's radio signal coding algorithm. We applied a unique encryption key for each key fob, changed the command system, introducing arming with button 1 and disarming with button 2. We changed it, rather, for the psychological comfort of users familiar with the problem, because the need for this was no longer necessary: we introduced a deferred code incrementation. Some “clumsiness” of the term is excusable: it was not invented by us. Let's explain the point. The system, having received a signal from the key fob, after a certain (rather short) time increases the number of the next allowed parcel by a certain number. The keychain does the same thing. Recording key fob signals by a code grabber becomes meaningless - all recorded signals for the system will become “old” and will be rejected by it. Now only two situations are potentially dangerous: “silent” interference when arming and when disarming, so that not a single signal from the key fob is received by the system. In this case, you should not leave the car for a spare key fob; you must open the door with the key and disarm it by entering the PIN code. Accordingly, if you cannot arm the car with the key fob, you must do this using the PIN code entry button. In this case, the system will not receive signals from a potentially dangerous key fob until it is disarmed: the grabber code will not help the thief.
Keychain tag. The algorithm used probably has no analogues. Both the system and the tag constantly and synchronously change the parcel number. We called this algorithm “the right code at the right time.” Any recorded tag signal becomes invalid for the system literally within seconds. This was made possible thanks to the evolution of the system and tag software, which made it possible to accurately calculate and synchronize the time and number of the next “correct” parcel.
Microimmobilizers. There are changes here too. If previously command protection was provided only by a difficult-to-intercept method of its transmission and the unique number of the microimmobilizer itself, then in Evolution2 systems we introduced dynamic commands (floating code). This excludes even the hypothetical possibility of recording command codes using an electronic “bug”, so that the hijacker could subsequently neutralize micro-immobilizers without even searching for them.

New opportunities

Changes to systems are not just about increasing security. Each set of systems is completely ready for installation on a vehicle in accordance with the diagrams given in the manuals. Only minimal programming from the key fob is required: setting up sensors, setting basic functions or measuring engine speed (if remote start is needed). But, if it is necessary to take into account any features of the car or special wishes of the owner, using a computer program Magic Tuner Almost a hundred parameters can be configured, providing significant “flexibility” of the system. Let's give three examples.
Arbitrary assignment algorithms for the operation of inputs and outputs allows you to fully use the capabilities of the system depending on the connection conditions.
Service wireless relays allow you to control various vehicle devices if the outputs on the base unit connector are not enough.
Anti-capture mode. In systems of the Evolution2 family, the operating algorithm of this mode depends on which sensors are connected during installation: vehicle speed sensor, engine speed sensor or handbrake.

Main characteristics of Excellent evolution2 systems
