Up to four rear selective check valves are provided. It is also possible to install a simpler and cheaper hydraulic system - with pressure compensation (PC), with a constant flow of 80 l / min.

The tractors of this series, like the next two, already belong to the class of high-power energy-intensive tractors. These are universal row-crop wheeled tractors, which are designed to perform energy-intensive technological operations in crop production, fodder production, care for row crops, as well as for a full range of transport and loading operations.

In addition, they can be used in both wheel (R) and crawler (RT) versions - with the installation of the appropriate additional equipment. John Deere 8RT Series Crawler Tractors deliver even greater productivity gains. To work with dump trailers and agricultural vehicles equipped with hydraulic drives, which require ultra-high efficiency from the tractor hydraulic system, a pump with an increased productivity of 227 liters per minute is installed (this is an additional option).

To work with agricultural machines and accessories with active working bodies, the 8R tractor is equipped with a rear power take-off shaft with a revolving shank with a diameter of 35 mm and the number of splines 6 and 21. And also with a shank with a diameter of 45 mm with the number of splines 20. The rear PTO has standard operating modes at 540 or 1000 rpm. The use of one or another PTO shank is selected depending on the required power consumed by the agricultural machine. This is the latest series, a further development of the John Deere tracked tractor concept. The RX uses the original four-track design, which provides better power transfer from the drive to the ground due to the increased contact patch compared to wheeled or conventional tracked vehicles.

Mini tractors

For the needs of small farms and private users in the assortment of John Deere there are small tractors of the 1 series (such a John Deere garden tractor is called 1 Family Sub-Compact Utility Tractor in the company's terminology). Two models are available:

They are equipped with compact Yanmar diesel engines of 22.4-23.9 hp, and can be supplemented with a bucket, lawn mower module and other equipment on request.

Interesting: the AutoConnect system allows you to connect some types of equipment by simply "running over" them and pressing a special lever.

About John Deere

John Deere is a major American manufacturer and supplier of special purpose vehicles. The company has almost two centuries of history.

Of course, John Gere did not create a tractor immediately (in historical sources, the spelling of the surname "Gere" is sometimes found). His firm began in 1837, when Illinois blacksmith John Deere, in response to complaints from farmers about not having a good plow for heavy prairie soil, forged his own, which did an excellent job. A year later, the blacksmith became an industrialist and began his production. In 1842 he had already made a hundred plows.


By 1948, Deer formed a partnership and moved to Mississippi. There, his plant soon doubled its production. In 1876 the company registered its own trademark.

Since then, John Deere has come a long and difficult way from a local manufacturer of harrows and plows to a major global developer and seller of special equipment for various purposes.

Interesting: the demonstration of the John Deere tractor to NS Khrushchev during his visit to the United States stimulated the development of his own machine in the USSR.
